What we sell is the thing we already make for ourselves. Our own products run in production — designed here, supported here, answered for here — and the work we do for you is held to that same standard.
The company
Nielsen Digital is a product company that takes outside work. What that means in practice is worth being plain about, because there are three different relationships here and they carry three different promises.
Our own products. We design them, run them in production, support them, and bill for them. Nothing was handed over at launch and forgotten, and there is no one else to point at when something breaks. That is the standard everything else on this page is measured against.
Hosting. We host sites and services for organizations in the United States. While it is on our infrastructure it is ours to keep running, and that is a relationship with no end date attached to it.
Contract work. Extra engineering capacity alongside your own staff. You own the product and the code outright, and the engagement ends when your team can carry it — we are not building a dependency on us. However, if it serves your business best, we can provide highly reliable hosting for you on our infrastructure.
The commitment behind all three is the same: we answer for what stays in our hands, and we hand over cleanly what does not.
